THE GREAT FATHER OF SIAMESE LANGUAGE



The Thai language that was put into the first Thai typewriter under Smith Premier brand was hardly known by so many people of its origin of over 700 years back. Thai language was originated by the invention of alphabets by King Ramkhamhaeng of Sukhothai Peiod with history supporting evidences of cone-shaped stone blocks made of powdered sandstone dimension of 1.11 Height cm x 35 cm deep x 35 cm thickness dated to AD 1292 found by King Rama IV of Rattanakosin or Bangkok Dynasty in 1833 at the hill of the old castles of Sukhothai, Sukhothai District, Sukhothai Province. The inscription was made in the form of Sukhothai characters and styles written some 700 years ago.
